I don’t think so. You will likely have to make adjustments to your monitor settings directly, using the menu of the monitor itself. Unless I’m missing something.

        Thank you
        Let me explain my situation
I bought a iiyama ProLite 32483HS display but its brightness is very low according to me… and the final result through the mirror
Tried to put my mirror in front of my macbook with luminosity to the top : works like a charm
I secretly hope that I did not buy this screen for nothing…
EDIT : my mirror has a 6mm width

          Well… with my experience…
          Do you really need MIRROR?
MagicMirror is also good for “Home Dashboard” or “Information Board” without 2way mirror. (Frankly, without a mirror it could look better, I think.)
If you cannot purchase real good mirror or good display, it could be better to use it as a smart dashboard for home instead of expending more budgets.

There definitely needs to be the right combination of mirror and display in order for MM to look its best. Obviously, a display with bright whites and absolute blacks is preferred. And then there’s the glass or acrylic and light transmission percentages, and as you pointed out, thickness.

There are several topics on the forum that address each of these concerns. Do a search and you’ll see them. If you feel the display is the problem, perhaps you can return it? Sell it? Or use it for another purpose? Of course, that means buying another, but you want to be happy with the result.
