New to this and want to build a smart mirror. Help!
-
Hello
I’m new to this and I love the idea of a smart mirror I just have no clue what I’m doing! Can I use anyone of these TV for a smart mirror? I’m planning to make the top 2/3s of the mirror smart and the mirror I’m planning to replace is 36" x 36". The tv needs to be a 36" X 24" (L x H) which I have worked out to roughly equal a 40" TV.

And the mirror I was looking at is an Acrylic.

So that is what I have so far. I would like to know if this would work and how well. Like will the text and images wash out when under the light? What technical stuff will I need to be the brains of the operation? Anything else you can think of please let me know. I really want to make this happen.
Thanks

Nearly any monitor or flat panel tv will work.
You NEED two-way (sometimes called one-way) mirror acrylic. An acrylic mirror is NOT the same thing and will not work.
If you can follow directions, the installation guide will walk you through the technical stuff, as you put it. If you encounter any problems then you can usually find help here rather quickly

Thank you for the quick response, the main problem I seem to be having is finding a two-way mirror that is 36’’ x 36’'.
