    Here what I did

    1. sudo apt-get update
    2. sudo apt-get full-upgrade
    3. sudo rpi-update
    4. sudo reboot
      pi@raspi:~ $ node -v
      v10.11.0

      after performing above steps still package.json says version": “2.1.3”

      so my question is did above process upgraded my magicmirror to v2.5.0? ??

            delete the package.json and the package lock.json

            then retry git pull && npm install
