@BD0G yes, correct
-
I ran it again and same error. Unable to install dependencies. It indicates CXXABI_1.3.9 not found and GLIBCXX_3.4.21 not found
Here is the new log file in my dropbox
-
@BD0G cool, another unexpected thing… node -v returned nothing!
try again please
-
I’m on it!
-
Same error. New Install.log file here
-
@BD0G can u do node -v from command line
also , echo $PATH -
@sdetweil I dumped the Magic Mirror Directory and Subs in anticipation of reinstalling after script modified. Will that matter?
-
@BD0G no
-
Do you want to know the return of Echo $PATH first?
-
-
@sdetweil Echo $PATH response is
/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:sbin:/bin:/usr/local/games:/usr/games -
Here is the reponse from node -v
node: /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libstdc++.so.6: versionCXXABI_1.3.9' not found (required by node) node: /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libstdc++.so.6: versionGLIBCXX_3.4.21’ not found (required by node) -
Response from which node is
/usr/local/bin/node

@BD0G said in Anyone want to try updated installer...:
CXXABI_1.3.9’ not found
always something…
seems jesse is just too old for the version of node we are trying to install…
i did it on stretch (and buster) sucessfully…
as u are just starting, any aversion to stretch or buster?
-
No aversion. Just want to be able to run MM. :) Which do you suggest?
-
@BD0G i’d go with the latest, buster
-
Ok. I will find the image and reimage my micro sd card and then run the install script from the first post and report back. Thanks!
Im going with
Raspbian Buster with desktop and recommended software
Image with desktop and recommended software based on Debian Buster
Version:September 2019
Release date:2019-09-26
Kernel version:4.19
Size:2541 MBOn second thought a smaller image seems more appropriate.

@BD0G yeh, the ‘recommended software’ includes a bunch of office apps , which u don’t need for a mirror system
-
Well that worked! Looks like Jesse is just too long in the tooth to run Magic Mirror2. Thanks again!
-
@BD0G cool. Thanks for the feedback. Could u post the the install.log to your Dropbox or email to me. Just want to look it over. Need to think about adding info about Jesse now.
We need to update electron too (doesn’t work on pi 0 anymore, well armv6l devices)
