Help on reading in a text file from a Google Drive

Trying to write a module that will display my recipes that I have stored on my google drive. I have a Categories Text file and then a folder for each category of recipe. Reading in the Categories text file has proven difficult. Any help or examples? How do you specify a local path for XMLHttpRequest? Is that the right way to go? My gdrive is mounted at /home/pi/mnt/gdrive. Any help is appreciated.

@bobguehne the local mm web server starts at ~/MagicMirror
You cannot see local files outside this path
Make a link to that mount in your module folder, using the ln command
