        npm run config:check

        gotta be IN the MagicMirror folder

        to get the base config

        cd ~/MagicMirror/config
        cp config.js.sample config.js

          I appreciate your help and putting up with a noob

          pi@raspberrypi:~/MagicMirror/config $ npm run config:check

          > magicmirror@2.10.1 config:check /home/pi/MagicMirror
          > node tests/configs/check_config.js

          Checking file...  /home/pi/MagicMirror/config/config.js
          Your configuration file doesn't contain syntax errors :)

            erase the current MagicMirror folder (rm -rf MagicMirror )

            and run the install script again , they changed some upstream library to hard fail…
            but we didn’t need it anyhow…

                  was able to get it to work. only issues is screensaver continues to active.
                  tried this with no luck

                  sudo nano /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart

                  add the following lines:

                  @xset s noblank
                  @xset s off
                  @xset -dpms
                  Save and close, using the commands CTRL-O and CTRL-X.

                  Go to lightdm.conf:

                  sudo nano /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf

                  add the following lines:

                  xserver-command=X -s 0 -dpms

                    @wagon40 I noticed that too.

                    Do this

                    bash -c "$(curl -sL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sdetweil/MagicMirror_scripts/master/screensaveroff.sh)"

                      looks like it worked! working on a my-commute issue at this time.

                        @wagon40 thanks… i’ve copied the same process steps over to the installer… thought I had done that.
