can't run "npm run start"

@sdetweil by VNC desktop, I got stuck on step 4 of manual installation (npm install), I made a reboot before the error, now I’m trying (npm install) without VNC.
Now installation ended successfully! -

the start script assumes a real display
change the package.json start to match your config"start": "DISPLAY=\"${DISPLAY:=:0}\" ./node_modules/.bin/electron js/electron.js",the start command is
npm start -
I tried both. I even deleted the whole folder and reinstalled. Maybe electron is the problem.

@sdetweil yes, in fact, i had it all working yesterday till I accident broken my sd card. I had to rebuild everything today.

@sdetweil sure did. I had to create an user to run your script since it wouldn’t allow me to do in root

raspian installs and starts with user pi -
@sdetweil you are running under the same user as during install time, right?

@sdetweil i think i got it working. I deleted everything and run your script again in “pi” user.
one question, I just enabled auto start and how do i disable it ? I need to config the config file
