    can't run "npm run start"

      I tried both. I even deleted the whole folder and reinstalled. Maybe electron is the problem.

        @jefftse no, change the line in package.json
        from

         "start": "DISPLAY=\"${DISPLAY:=:0}\" ./node_modules/.bin/electron js/electron.js",
        

        to

         "start": "./node_modules/.bin/electron js/electron.js",
        

        the error is " cannot open display: :0.0" typically, DISPLAY:0 is the physical display

          just did that and the error is below

            @jefftse still trying to open display 0

            what is the vnc display number? do

            env | grep -i display

                  @sdetweil yes, in fact, i had it all working yesterday till I accident broken my sd card. I had to rebuild everything today.

                      @sdetweil sure did. I had to create an user to run your script since it wouldn’t allow me to do in root
