    @sdetweil when I go into the developer console, it says " devtools was disconnected from the page. Once the page is reloaded, devtools will automatically reconnect."

    If I x out of that and go to console, it’s empty.

      More troubleshooting: I deleted the config.js and it loaded and said I needed to load a config.js file. I loaded the sample one, and it went back ot being a black screen.

        @Cyric ok, where do u start mm? pm2 or nom start manually

        if pm2 do

        pm2 logs --lines=100
        

        if nom start, the console output is right there.

        let us know what u find

            hm…
            the calendar reader module is not found

            can you do

            cd ~/MagicMirror
            rm package-lock.json
            rm -rf node_ modules
            npm install

              Now it won’t load the black screen. I have not rebooted yet.

                git checkout modules/default/defaultmodules.js
                

                then try npm start again

                    @sdetweil ok, progress. It started magic mirror with a black screen and no mouse. Before it was a black screen with the mouse, and it said electron instead of magic mirror 2. I rebooted and tried to reload my config.js, but it didn’t help.
