MM Standby loop _ Unable to access raspberry
-
I’m in a bit of a pickle here. I have my magic mirror programed to start automatically upon booting of the raspberry pi. However something happened last night that I can’t explain or get around.
When I boot the Pi (4) everything works as expected, but once the mirror starts up the monitors connection to hdmi is cut immediately and I have zero signal. I have not found a way to get connection to the monitor to be able to troubleshoot.
This is definitely a Pi issue, as I tried in a different monitor with the same issue .
I am at a loss here. I have no idea how this happened. Please. Any help?

@nneuland use ssh to connect to the pi so u can work on it.
do you use pir for motion sense? turn off monitor?

I hope that I have enabled SSH on the raspberry. I think I had.
I have yet to try accessing the pi yet from SSH, but fingers crossed.Yes. I am using PIR as a motion sensor. I have tried detaching the PIR with no luck.
-
@nneuland , If the PIR sensor does not work, the mirror does not work.
-
I believe the PIR is working fine. Just not sure why the HDMI connection is immediately lost after the mirror has loaded.
Wouldn’t disconnecting the PIR from the Pi correct this?
-
@nneuland the pir module has turned off the hdmi port… (as if no motion, time to sleep)
-
Not sure how that happened out of nowhere. I should delete the PIR module through ssh to see what’s going on then?
Unless I can modify the config file through the remote app. Not sure that’s safe though.

@nneuland things work reliably until they dont!
if u can thru remote, just add disabled:true,
after the pir module name line -
@nneuland
Nothing truer has been said. I’ll give it a go -
