Alexa Controll.... Some questions
-
Hello everybody.
I am very fresh in the matter and just about to build a MM.
The first steps and experiences I have collected.I have now found out that you can insert different pages with “mm Page”.
In a video I saw that you can switch to a specific page via “mmm alexa control” and the syntax: “alexa, Turn on Page #”.Is it possible to change this syntax?
For example, “alexa, Change to Weather or alexa, change to Calendar?”Why I find this interesting?
This could make the Startscreen very clean (small display of modules or none) and switch to a more detailed page when needed.I hope you understand what I mean. I am glad about your opinions and comments.

@Clubjack It’s possible. You have to create a routine in your Alexa app. There you can create a custom voice command and a device that should turn on or off.

@Stoffbeuteluwe
Thank you.
I read this thread. However, I could not find anything to changed announcements. Maybe we can communicate via PM in German. 😉 Or is it also allowed in the thread? -
I read it again.
Now I probably understand it.
Each newly created page will become a device in alexa.
With a routine you can therefore select specific pages.
Did I understand it correctly?
Here’s an example:Page 1 with a calendar becomes device 1, page 2 with a newsfeed becomes device 2.
I create a routine in alexa with “when I say open calendar, then activate device 1” etc.I’ll try that as soon as I have time again.
Is it also possible that after a certain time again and again the main page appears?

@Clubjack That’s right. It should work with routines.

Why not change the name of the device that Alexa has found to something more memorable? Mine found page1, page 2 etc
Renaming, with the Alexa App on my phone, “page 1” to “clock” meant that the command “Alexa turn on clock” displays the clock page. -
@JoChef2 Hi, thanks for that amazing module I’m using it every day.
Thanks

All that sounds very good. I will try it and hopefully I can do it.
Thank You all for that.
