MMM-Fitbit2

@mkufner24 I have explained what I am doing to retrieve sleep data in an earlier post. Beyond that, I’m not sure!
I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying the module though 😄

I have dockerized my MM (https://github.com/bastilimbach/docker-MagicMirror) and having trouble getting MMM-Fitbit2 to work properly.
Some things I’ve attempted:
- I cannot launch a web browser from my container; it doesn’t have one.
- SSHing into the container to launch auth.sh will not launch a web browser to finish the setup
- Copying the token from my old MM doesn’t seem to work.
Suggestions?

@Vizulize It would be great it you could allow the issue creation on GitHub, this will be easier to contribute and raise issue. :)
-
@aunrea I have the same behavior with a second account, like if some cache was used.
My workaround was to clone the repository on my laptop (not on my RPi) and run the Python script from there and then copy/paste the tokens-XXXXX.json file to my RPi. -
@mkufner24 Same, sleep time is inaccurate.

Unfortunately, this is what is returned from the Fitbit API. If you can figure out how to produce the data you want from what is returned from the API, then I am happy to take a look!

Is it possible to display weight in pounds instead of kg? If yes, how?
-
@davidgeo
This is currently not exposed to the user via the config.json (that feature is tracked here).
However, you can change this option to “US” in your installed module directory.
For more information about how units are handled by the Fitbit API, check out the unit system information detailed here. -
Sorry for replying to an old topic, but I thought it was best to keep this in the same place.
I realised today that I’m having a problem with MMM-fitbit2. I fixed the issue in my other thread here yesterday:
but updated Magic Mirror shortly after, so I’m not sure if the problem existed before the update or not.
The module loads and seems to work, but I’m only getting values returned for the calories I’ve burned water drank, and my weight. My food eaten isn’t updating, even though it’s showing in my Fitbit dashboard. I don’t have a Fitbit device so I’m not sure if the other values are flled in on my dashboard.
