@zoltan do you leave the tv all on all the time? Or does it come on use CEC when motion is detected? I’ve been thinking about switching to a tv but still on the fence on if I want it on all the time, since that would draw a lot of power.

I’m curious to hear if you just leave it on all the time or if PIR is how it comes on?

The screen switches off completely. The 2A relay that i have cut the power completely to the 32" screen. I need to save the screen in the long run and also save power. I believe this is the only way. Once there is movement, the screen switches on again

I used a 32" Sinotec TV. Its a HD ready screen but it works perfect and a cheaper option.

The price that i paid just before our 2020 lockdown in March was actually R544-00. That accounts to US$ 36.44 with today’s exchange.
