      As you may know VNC retiring the Home plan and those existing Home team will be closed on 17/06/2024. Is there any other free alternative?

      I always use VNC to connect to the MagicMirror, TeamViewer was not good. Are there any other good alternatives?

        @luisestrada pi released a vnc
        replacement , and tight vnc works

        if you use winscp or bitvise ssh clients you can edit from your windows machine
        and if you set the MagicMirror server to allow other system access

        address:"0.0.0.0",
        ipWhitelist :[],

        then you can interact/debug the MagicMirror screen anywhere you have a browser

        on linux you can use the caja file manager to get remote ssh filesystem access, similar to bitvise and winscp
        I havent found that for Mac yet only cause I havent needed it

        learning how to use browser developers window for css changes

              @sdetweil

              I missed it as a started looking into info about bitvise and winscp. My bad.

              I see is SSH file access, I have done that in the past, I thought is was something more like VNC or Teamviewer.

                  @sdetweil Seems like rpi-connect is still in beta. May be a viable option if no relay is required else the lag could be nasty as the turn server is located in the OK.
