MMM-Globe
Description
The Magic Mirror Globe (MMM-Globe) Module is a utility module that displays a live rotating globe comprised of hex-shapes. The module can be configured to show default destinations, or you can customise it to highlight locations special to you. You can also adjust the size of the globe itself.

@Eunanibus first of all, i want to thank you for this great module. But i have a problem with . when i try to put it in my config.js nothing happend on my mirror may be i have a wrong config so if you or another can help me it we be really good
-
Same goes for me. I have several modules installed and also the MMM-Pages module so that different modules are displayed on each page, but I have not been able to get the MMM-Globe to display.
I have also tried to add it only in the config.js.sample and I can’t make this module to be displayed, only the default modules.
Any idea?
Thanks, Quique -
I’ve just seen this information about this module on a raspberry pi:
…I do not recommend using this module if your Mirror uses a Raspberry Pi…
https://forum.magicmirror.builders/topic/2553/mmm-globe?page=1
Maybe that’s my problem, I suppose.

@qu1que hm, I installed the module, cut/pasted the sample config.js entry from the readme, added
my location and started mirror… works perfect, altho it stomps on everything around it…it rotates the globe, and I find it odd that the Antarctica region rotates opposite of the globe rotation
(globe rotates from left toward the right, while Antarctica rotates to the left) -
That test was made on a raspberry pi?
-
@qu1que yes… pi4.
I have a pi3 and pi 0 I can try on too…
-
I have try it on a 3B+ but no image of the Globe showed
-
@qu1que u need to enable the opengl driver…
run raspi-config from the commandline,
Advanced Options (7), GL Driver (A7), OpenGL desktop driver with full KMS (G3)
the module doesn’t list this as a requirement
