MMM-Globe
-
I’ve just seen this information about this module on a raspberry pi:
…I do not recommend using this module if your Mirror uses a Raspberry Pi…
https://forum.magicmirror.builders/topic/2553/mmm-globe?page=1
Maybe that’s my problem, I suppose.
-
@qu1que hm, I installed the module, cut/pasted the sample config.js entry from the readme, added
my location and started mirror… works perfect, altho it stomps on everything around it…it rotates the globe, and I find it odd that the Antarctica region rotates opposite of the globe rotation
(globe rotates from left toward the right, while Antarctica rotates to the left) -
That test was made on a raspberry pi?
-
@qu1que yes… pi4.
I have a pi3 and pi 0 I can try on too…
-
I have try it on a 3B+ but no image of the Globe showed
-
@qu1que u need to enable the opengl driver…
run raspi-config from the commandline,
Advanced Options (7), GL Driver (A7), OpenGL desktop driver with full KMS (G3)
the module doesn’t list this as a requirement
-
Ok, I’ll try it and tell here my results. Thanks!
-
@qu1que it failed for me til I enabled the driver…
I saw the failure in the developers window, console view
-
Cool! Now is working!!

@sdetweil i try it goes well but it stop others modules
