  • Hi all,
just installed on a Rasberry pi 2 - Raspbian the Magic Mirror v2 beta using automatic script.
I cannot manage to launch it through SSH nor directly, while launching DISPLAY=:0 nohup npm start & or DISPLAY=:0 npm start, I have following errors:

    pi@mirror2:~/MagicMirror $ DISPLAY=:0 npm start

  • I don’t know if it will help but try installing the pm2 commands. You can find them under auto start.

  • MagicMirror Creator

Which version of Rasbian are you using?

  • MagicMirror Creator

@00conman This will not help, since there seems to be an issue with electron.

  • Oh… okay. Sorry for the mislead I’m still learning the workings.

  • MagicMirror Creator

@00conman No worries! PM2 is just a tool to keep the process running. If the MM fails/quits, PM2 will restart it.

  • @MichMich
    Hi , version of m’y raspbian using lsb_release -a:

    Distributor ID: Raspbian
    Description: Raspbian GNU/Linux 8.0 (jessie)
    Release: 8.0
    Codename: jessie

  • MagicMirror Creator

Could you give the electron quick start a try?
    https://github.com/electron/electron-quick-start

If that one doesn’t work either, its an Electron issue.

  • @MichMich

    results is:

There seems to be an issue with electron on your RPi. Are you sure you are running it on a Pi 2? (And not a B+, they look very much alike…)

If so, I suggest you open an issue in the electron repository.
