      Hey there!

Totally new to this! I wanted to design my own MagicMirror (thanks for the inspiration!).

I got MagicMirror2 installed today (via the automatic installer), however the ‘Current Weather’ and ‘Weather Forecast’ is not working at all…

With/Without the API code also, this doesn’t seem to make a difference…

      Can anyone help?

      Thanks!

Oh, and when I say not working at all, I mean; the weather modules are not on the screen…

        Thanks!

It certainly makes a difference. Without the API key neither of those modules will work. However, there does seem to be a problem with the weatherforecast module. The currentweather module is functional using a valid API key. Enter that precisely and your locationID.

In the meantime, you can disable weatherforecast. You could also try another weather module that IS working. There are quite a few under the Weather heading here.

@glenntsharkey Hey mate, just giving you a piece of mind, you are not alone! I think in the most recent MM version there is a problem with both weather modules. But not to worry!

I switched to this module 3 days ago:

I can confirm for you it’s working and it’s bloody fantastic. Let me know if you want any info or help or changing the config file.

It seems new API keys from open weather no longer are allowed to request the forecast. We are looking into a solution.

That would explain it. My API key is 9 months old. With it, current weather works, forecast does not. Thanks for the update! :^)
