NFL Score Module
-
Would any of the APIs listed here be helpful in creating a live score/schedule for MLB @strawberry-3-141 ?
https://github.com/baseballhackday/data-and-resources/wiki/Resources-and-ideas
-
It’s possible. But I will also let Strawberry think on that… the plan has been to include other sports at some point
-
I will create a module next week, just tell me in a personal message what should be displayed in the module (have no clue about baseball and what data can be interesting) as its not related to the nfl module

due to the different timezone, it would be nice if some of you could test my alpha version of live match detecting on the next matchday, by doing
git fetch git checkout feature/live-matches
start your mirror and report here how it goes, it should detect live matches automatically and while at least one match is running it fetches every minute for new data, otherwise it will stay by the standard 3hours interval
it’s not tested yet, but if it works you should see that the time of a quarter get’s updated and the score as well. it will also show which team is in ball possession and if the team is entering the redzone it will start to flash the indicator. if something is not working pls provide the errors from the terminal and the electron console (cmd+shift+I)

@strawberry-3.141 Let you know this Wed and Thurs… :) Thank you!!!
-
It’s working great!! Time/Quarter and what team has the ball and when they’re in the red zone… Great job!
-
after no issues were found on the last pre-season matchday there is a new release
Changelog:
- indicator for ball possession
- indicator for redzone
- auto detecting live matches and fetching new data every minute, while at least on match is live
- new config option focus_on to choose which matches should appear on the mirror
[card:fewieden/MMM-NFL]

after an issue on github i made a bugfix on a seperate branch so people can test if this will work for everyone
cd ~/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-NFL git fetch git checkout bugfix/time-conversion npm install
start your mirror and see if the match start datetime is correct for your timezone
-
The changes are now merged to master branch
To update do the following
cd ~/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-NFL git pull npm install
If you tested the bugfix branch you have to do the following
cd ~/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-NFL git checkout master git pull

I want to announce, that there will come statistics in place the next days
