My 36" Mirror
-
Hey guys,
thanks for all your great inspiration.
I got an old 32" TV for free.
Wood isnt my prefered material but i think it looks okay for the first mirror :)The main problem starts with the end.
The mirror is quiet heavy (8mm | 80 x 53,3 cm) and because i wont holes in it i need to glue them in any way to the case:
https://forum.magicmirror.builders/topic/7231/glue-mirror-for-wooden-caseUnfortunately my TV doesnt support HDMI-CEC or anything else that could bring him in standby.
But in the end i do a dirty workaround (black screen) to prevent the to from beeing displayed “no signal” all the time. The mirror has following specs:
- Berechnung nach EN410 und EN673 Außen Innen
Lichttransmission 11 %
Lichtreflexion 42 % 42 %
Energietransmission 13 %
Energiereflexion 34 %
Energieabsorption (1. Scheibe) 53 %
UV-Transmission 1 %
g-Wert 25 %
Farbwiedergabeindex Transmission (Ra) 93
Farbwiedergabeindex Außenreflexion (Ra) 95
The only remeaning problem is from the MMM-Formula1-Module that doesnt load the data reliable.
Here are the Pics:

@gubert uhmmm… I got 2 samples of them and I was disappointed. Whats ur opinion, would recommend it ? (but 8mm is very thick :/ )

I dont have any other mirrors seen for projects like this. So i cant compare. But for me it looks great.
The pictures are while very bright light taken and the tv is about ~60% brightness setting.
Whats your problem with this mirrors?EDIT: for sure they are very heavy. but its okay for me

The quality of the samples are bad.

looks pretty cool! Well done :)

Firstly, this looks great. I have a couple of questions. How did you get the mirror to be on the frame? Did you glue it or use some sort of two sided tape? Also; what did you use to hang it on the wall?
