Hello to all! I just want to say hello and say hello to all those who are stuck at home because of the coronavirus!

Hello,
I am a 51 year old engineer from Germany, the MM is my newest Raspberry-Pi-Projekt. Just installed the basics, waiting for the mirror glas to install it in one IKEA Ribba frame, with 21,5" display behind. Love this project!!!
Stay home, stay healthy,

Due to the lockdown, I want to build my own, it has been a long-time coming.I’m waiting for everybody to get onboard on the Goldjunge_Chriz Community Order.

So we can start doing this -
Hi, Dad of 4 and brand new pi enthusiast along with my 12-year-old son from Atlanta, GA. I would love to get to know local mirror enthusiasts.
-
I am Otto, a software developer from Trondheim, and father of 3 children from 15-21 years old. I have built a MM a few years ago, but now I am just using the software on a screen in my kitchen. It is the information I love, not the mirror :-)
I have built several modules that I have shared, and I have more ideas. Programming is not only my job, it is also my hobby, together with electronics, hunting and food smoking. -
Hi Guys’
I’m Dave from London.
My wife bought me a Raspberry Pi when they first came out in the UK in 2012.
I took it out of the box for the first time a week ago set it all up and I can’t use it as it is painfully slow (20+ mins to load a page). I don’t know if they are just no good or if I am doing something wrong.
Anyway, I want a MM so i will probably buy the latest Pi 4, unless people on here tell me otherwise, and build a MM.
I am so looking forward to it.
This forum looks ideal. I have read many posts that have encouraged me but I am sure I will be back looking for help and advice.

@hawkeye You are not useless no is, if you need help I can try to help and I bet this community can too if you have a problem
-
Ask questions. There are plenty of people here that are willing to help you when you get stuck. Most, if not all, have been through the same thing when it comes to the MM project. Myself included.
-
Hi! I’m 13 and i guess you coud say I like to explore new stuff. My dad brought home a pi once and I’ve been addicted to it ever since.

Your name is very cool! Have fun!

@Mykle1 thx!

Just dropping in to say hi!
I don’t have a smart mirror to show yet as I haven’t built one. I’m an avid maker, tinkerer, and professional software engineer. I have 4 or 5 RPis ion different versions, a Balena FinCM3 dev board, and most iterations of Arduino.
I also build my own hardware whenever I can, using my CNC machine, and other workshop tools. Some people ask me if I’m a software developer: no, I say I’m a software engineer! Big difference. :)
Thx

hello! - been using magicmirror for a few weeks in my office. It was one of my lockdown projects to get setup - I’m very happy with it.
-
I am Raf from Belgium and I am 55 years old and I am trying to build a magic mirror but I actually do not have such a great knowledge of the English language, so it is not easy for me but it is a very nice project
-
@raf : you are welcome ! don’t worry there are some french user too (like me) :)

Hey all… Name is Dennis and my call is N6NG. It’s nice to put a picture on all the beautiful coding for the MagicMirror.
Been seeing the name MichMich for a long time now an never been able to even imagine what you would look like.
I do want to thank you for all the help in getting the MagicMirror up and going for me and many others in the Mirror business…
I do have one question and you probably have a good reason, but why is the MagicMirror group not part of the groups.io pages? I belong to a lot of lists that are there but it would be nice if the magicmirror.builders were there also.
So nice to see you and thanks for all your hard work…
