This message means you’ve missed/failed electron-rebuild step. read the docs and do that step again carefully.

I think if there is no other issue, just doing electron-rebuild be enough.

Raspbian Buster has gcc8 as default. Unfortunately with gcc8, grpc wouldn’t be compiled easily. so You need to downgrade to gcc7

                sudo apt-get install gcc-7
                sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/gcc gcc /usr/bin/gcc-7 10
                sudo update-alternatives --config gcc

This may work to change current gcc version to 7.

                  pi@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/gcc gcc /usr/bin/gcc-7 10
                  pi@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo update-alternatives --config gcc
There is only one option in the gcc link group (provides / usr / bin / gcc): / usr / bin / gcc-7
                  Nothing to configure.

In that case your gcc be version 7. check it with gcc -v (You probably downgraded global gcc to 7 already)

gcc version 7.3.0 (Raspbian 7.3.0-19) then i guess ist just electron-rebuild left to do

It will take 10~30 minutes to complete. Keep the power and network connection during rebuilding. Wish you a good luck!

                                1. Make your own hotword model with trainer included in MMM-Hotword. Read the docs.
                                2. For MMM-Hotword, set useDisplay:false
For MMM-AssistantMk2, sorry, not supported. I’m building a new updates about it but not finished yet. (nowadays I have not enough time to focus that module.)

Is there anyway to have a Google home show its results on the magic mirror?

do you mean real google home? In other words, you have already a real google home, and you can command it by voice, and you want to display the result from your google home to MagicMirror. right?
                                        Sorry, it is not possible.

If you make some specific command for your google Home through IFTTT or google Action, in that case, your result could be transferred to MagicMirror(and be shown).
But the usual and random commands - like “What time is it?”, “My next schedule”,… couldn’t

@Sean thanks for responding. I assume this is a limitation on Google ends? Also how would I tell ifttt to show on magic mirror?
