MMM-CalendarExt2

@sean “show let’s say 10 markings per week”
What I meant was that there were two items missing on week 6. Therefore the “+2” like in the screenshot. Fixed it with:hideOverflow: true
“You might have set the position of module itself. MMM-CalendarExt2 doesn’t need position for module itself. remove it from your configuration.”
Ah, of course. Set position under “views” and now it’s working as desired. Thank you! -
Great job!
I was almost done with MMM-CalendarExt then you make it better, now my question is “is there a way to update it to MMM-CalendarExt2”?
Thanks.

@code999
Not upgradable. Both are similar but different from structure to css rules. -
alright thanks

First of all, thanks for this module, so far it’s filled all my needs of a calendar. One thing I’m struggling with though is that it seems to redraw itself every minute? And since I’m running MM on a raspberry pi zero the drawing takes something like 3 seconds, which makes it a little irritating. Is there anyway to control the re-drawing? I’ve tried setting the scanInterval, but that doesn’t have any effect.
I also get some CALEXT2_CALENDAR_MODIFIED notifications at fairly regular intervals, even when my calendar hasn’t been changed, but they don’t seem correlated to the redrawing. I’m only using google calendars, if that’s of any help.
Thanks again, awesome module!

rotateInterval
(When you are using multi-scenes) orupdateInterval
would be an answer. -
@Sean Look at that, I missed that. So many options:-) Thanks alot, and again, great work!

Hey, so I’ve been using CalendarExt2 for a while for the ‘Current’ calendar feature, but I’m having to move the calendar I use over to private, I have an account with full authorization to view the calendar but when I add
auth: { user: "blahblahblah@gmail.com", pass: "password", method: 'basic' }
to my calendar config, it stops working and kind of causes my whole MagicMirror to crash after a while. The logs show everything loading as normal.
My full config is
{ module: "MMM-CalendarExt2", config: { calendars : [ { name: "Current", scanInterval: 120000, maxItems: 4, url: "", auth: { user: "", pass: "", method: "basic", }, }, ], views: [ { name: "Current", mode: "current", position: "bottom_center", calendars: [], slotTitle: "Current Event", }, ], scenes: [ { name: "DEFAULT", views: [], }, ], }, },
I do use this with another calendar module, that one works fine with the authentication though.
Thank you for the great module otherwise!

@Subintro
Can you send your ics url and account information? I need those info to examine.
If you don’t care, send me by email. (eouia0819@gmail.com) -
Hello, I’m having several issues. Im new to coding for the most part. I took a couple basic web design classes about 12 years ago.
I was working on my magic mirror for about 12 hours yesterday. The major issue being my events are not loading from my Google calendar. I used it in the standard upcoming holidays module to make sure I was linking it correctly. They show up there, but not in the calenderext2. The other issue is sizing. Its larger than the screen viewing area. I’m sure I’m doing something wrong. I copied the example that was posted in the file and it changes the css look but not the size and events still dont show up. Any help would be appreciated.
