@sdetweil One last question; would you know why CalendarExt2 doesn’t show up on the remote module? Not that I’d ever turn it off, just curious.
-
@ccr41981 on the remote?
-
@sdetweil MMM-Remote-Control, that allows you to display or hide modules?
-
@ccr41981 sorry, no idea
-
@sdetweil Ok, thanks. Just curious.
-
@ccr41981 it’s likely because how CX2 generates it’s positions. In short, it’s working AROUND the built in position system and kinda builds it own.

after installing this modular i get the following error.
pi@raspberrypi:~ $ npm run start
npm ERR! code ENOENT
npm ERR! syscall open
npm ERR! path /home/pi/package.json
npm ERR! errno -2
npm ERR! enoent ENOENT: no such file or directory, open ‘/home/pi/package.json’
npm ERR! enoent This is related to npm not being able to find a file.anyone know why?
Thanks -

Hello,
I am having difficulties understanding how the deduplicateEventsOn works. I can get the configuration to make duplicated events not show; but how do I combine the entries under calendarName so the events show up “Bob/Jane/Sue/John” ? Or just “Everyone” ??This is what I have that removes the duplication. Its at the very top of the module. Does it need to be somewhere else?
{module: 'MMM-CalendarExt2', config: { rotateInterval: 45*1000, deduplicateEventsOn:["startDate","endDate","duration","title","location"], calendars: [ -
How to get quicker update of the google calendar in Magic mirror?
-
@fedale u can change the updateInterval… but note that too fast might get you denied for a while…
-
@sdetweil I tried that earlier without any result. And seemed like the only thing updating was the screen flickering
I put it under the module config in the config.js was that the correct postion?
-
@fedale ok, in the calendar its
fetchInterval
sorry,
doc always wins!
https://docs.magicmirror.builders/modules/calendar.html#configuration-options
-
@sdetweil I tried the fetchInterval. But have not been sucessfull with that one.
But everytime i save my config file it update at once.
Is there somewhere else than in the config.js file i need to change the fetchInterval?
-
@fedale that is inside the config:{} section of the calendar module, yes,
and NOT in the place where url: is -
This works. URL Blanked to prevent private data.
{ module: "MMM-CalendarExt2", // https://github.com/MMM-CalendarExt2/MMM-CalendarExt2 config: { calendars : [ { url: "", name: "Main", // Optional, Recommended maxItems: 1, scanInterval: 1000*60*.5, // every 30 seconds, Appt Book, needs this speed beforeDays: 0, afterDays: 2, forceLocalTZ: false, }, ... -
