    • RE: Where to get (cheap) acrylic mirror from in Germany

@Novocain said in Where to get (cheap) acrylic mirror from in Germany:

@dbahn25 The UK Side you mentioned doesnt ship to Germany do they ?
They don’t say anything specific about that, and it’s possible to choose other countries than the UK in the checkout form. I didn’t go any further, yet, though.

My 20x30cm test mirror from glas-per-klick.de should arrive on monday, I’ll post some pictures of it when I get it.

@DirkS is it normal that everything looks kind of blueish / greenish in your room because of the light, or is that the mirror?

    • RE: Deutsche Bahn Delay

I don’t think that’s possible. Deutsche Bahn provides an API, though currently only for long-distance trains and without any information on delays.

    • RE: Where to get (cheap) acrylic mirror from in Germany

@Novocain iirc I ordered the normal “silver” spy mirror version. It might have a too low transmission rate (3%, reflectance 60%), but we will (hopefully) see tomorrow

      @DirkS alright, thanks :)

    • RE: Can I use any LVDS board with any LCD screen?

@Novocain That looks to be a great summary
The one I got was an universal one, but it was just five bucks, so never mind… I simply didn’t research much before I bought it

    • RE: 230V in the naked monitor

      Alright, here’s the picture
      0_1479589366377_resize-6.jpg

I checked with a multimeter, the whole case is connected to ground. That won’t be a problem then.
But the monitor gets HOT, I can barely touch the part on the back that has little holes in it. I really need to think of a solution to that.

    • RE: HMDI (from Pi 3) to DVI? Will it work?

@bibi display port to hdmi works definitely. it’s both digital, so the adapter should be pretty simple and cheap (I use one for ~12€ from miniDP to HDMI on my laptop)

    • RE: Mirror larger than monitor

I also have a mirror that is about twice the size of the monitor (60x40cm mirror, 19" 5:4 monitor) and in normal daylight it’s totally not visible. At night, however, when there is no other light in the room you can clearly see where the monitor ends
