I have both mmm assistantmk2 and hot word up and running however when I saw jarvis the first time it works…but then when I try again…no hot word picked up. any ideas?

I will have to look into it. How do I sync it with say a PlayStation eye camera? Do I need something like mmm motion (which broadcast a notification) to make it work? Do you have any recommendations?

I want my screen blank until it detects motion. Instead of turning the screen on and off is there a way to just have the screen go black? And then fade back in the modules when motion is detected? That way there is no HDMI 1 stuff on the screen when it first turns on.

Coming down to the last few details before we get into what I consider the card part. Actual construction!

So how do we make a frame that will hold glass mirror? What’s the best way to attach the lcd to the back of that mirror?

I recently set up mmm-google route which also uses google api. It appears from what I can tell you get a monthly credit of 200 or 300 bucks? So if you go over that you do get charged.

Using mmm-schedualar I was able to set it to update every 15 min in the morning hours then just once an hour hike I’m usually out of the house. That may help with api requests

why do you need the mmm sleep wake with the motion program?

Also would this work through a two way mirror?

Hey I don’t have any advice for you other then look at ikea. I’m also in California! Can you post pictures when you get the mirror together with that acrylic ? I’m on the fence between that and real glass.

Was wondering if ther is a pir type module but ) can be used with a webcam? If so any recommendations on a bran/model. Wanted to also set up the assistant module and wonder if a webcam with a mic can be used to kill two birds with one stone?

can you elaborate on this a bit more…I am just starting my mirror with zero coding background but want to incorporate the assistant and hot word. I assumed I would use a regular usb mic or a webcam with a mic…what alternatives should I be looking for?

thank you but I’m not sure this is what I’m looking for.

I want my calendar to show all my events into the future but not broad cast them unless they occur on the current day.

that way other modules ( google route in my case) don’t show the route for my next event unless it’s that day…right now my next event is on Thursday of next week…so that’s what my google map is showing directions for.

Is it possible to have the calendar broadcast events only on the current day of the event? I want my map to default to a certain route …but update for events occurring on the current day.

right now my map shows an event that’s in 20 days, obviously I don’t need that route and estate travel time right now…

So In Your Opinion is MMM Hotword and MMM-assistankmk2 the best combo for google assistant?

I see a few other modules like MMM-GoogleAssistant out there too

I could really use some help here guys. I have everything set up and working and am just having issues with final touches on position. Here are my two issues.

I have 2 google route modules in my bottom_left position and the stock news in the botom. any time there is a headline that is longer…it takes up two lines and shifts the entire bottom left area up the screen…it then returns to normal on the next shorter headline.

In a similar situation using the MMM-0SharportMeta Data modules…it looks great until I choose a song that is titled long…it shifts it self to the left until the next song comes up.

any trouble shooting help would be wonderful

is there any way to have this module pull the upcoming schedule info…ie shows I watch that are airing today?

Would love to be able to “cast” a you tube video to my mirror… and have all the other modules disappear while it’s playing… then reappear when done.
