      @rubenix sorry, you’re right…my mistake. I just restarted MM and got an update notification for MMM-RAIN-MAP. I’ll pull that and test right away with the new version.

      @rubenix thank you so much for your thorough and comprehensive analysis and feedback!
      I will now disable the above mentioned 5 3rd party modules nd enablle them one by and check if they’d interfere with MMM-RAIN-MAP. I’ll keep you all posted!

    • RE: MMM-RAIN-MAP (new: version 2.x)

      @lavolp3 just a question as I have the same issue and @Jalibu and I tried his latest release, but no success on my side.
      Which modules do you have activated?
      I assume that the module might interfere with another module, but I am not sure which one. I’d like to compare your activated modules with mine and maybe I can find out which one is identical and might cause the conflict. Here’s a list of my modules, which are separated over two pages:

      Page1:
      newsfeed,
      alert,
      updatenotification,
      MMM-PIR-Sensor,
      MMM-AlexaControl,
      MMM-MyCalendar,
      MMM-page-indicator,
      MMM-Pages,
      MMM-withings,
      MMM-Sonos,
      MMM-DarkSkyForecast,
      MMM-DWD-WarnWeather,
      MMM-MyScoreBoard,
      MMM-Podcast2,
      2x MMM-PublicTransportHafas,
      MMM-google-route,
      MMM-RemoteControl,
      MMM-GroveGestures,

      Page2:
      netatmo,
      MMM-Tools,
      mmm-hue-lights,
      MMM-Homematic, .

    • RE: Newbie - Build Smart Mirror

      @xxLulaBelle alternatively you could use a gesture sensor and run it with the MMM-GroveGestures module. I have one to swipe pages and to start/stop a news podcast with MMM-Podcast2. Works great!

    • RE: MMM-RAIN-MAP (new: version 2.x)

      @Jalibu There still seems to be a memory issue. I took about one hour until the memory was full and the Pi froze.
      I deactivated the module now and restarted the Pi to be sure that no other module causes that problem.

      @Jalibu ok…I just pulled the latest version and just restarted my MM. I’ ll report back if the memory issue improved.

    • RE: MMM-RAIN-MAP (new: version 2.x)

      @Jalibu Yes, I can confirm the memory problems. The module consumes rather quickly a lot of memory and after about 3 hrs the RPi freezes.

    • RE: MM keeps freezing

      @requiemmg Did I understand correctly that the display controller powers the Pi via its USB port? If so, I very strongly believe that this might be the source for the problem for two reasons:

      1. The USB port does not provide enough power for the Pi
      2. If the display controller goes in standby, then probably the power provided via its USB port might also be reduced.

      I would always recommend to connect the Pi directly to a dedicated power supply, which can supply min. 2.5A.

    • RE: UPDATE: Replaced my PIR-Sensor with a Doppler Microwave Sensor.

      @uros76 the detection range will very likely be more than 180 degree, as the emission characteristic is more or less spherical. Further, the detection range depends also on the layout of your rooms, walls etc. Just give it a try and see what the result is.

      @rxlDavid there is a module called MMM-GroveGestures, which does exactly what you want.

      @Sean I’d like to thank you so much for all your extrodinary contribution to this project. Either with you help here in the community or with your fantastic modules! THANK YOU!
      Still, I hope to see you back here in some time again and I wish you all the best for the future and for what ever you do. Take care and all the best!

    • RE: Cooling Raspi

      @requiemmg when it freezes at 48C then it’s no cooling issue. Try another SD card, maybe that’s the cause.

    • RE: MMM-GroveGesture dont work anoymore

      @mrSnatz I can confirm your experience. Another bug is related to MMM-Remote. When I open MMM-Remote in a browser and change pages, MMM-GroveGesture stops and I need to reboot MM. I haven’t yet dug enough into this issue, but I will when I have some more time.

    • RE: Raspberry Pi 3 b+ and Magic Mirror

      @lehoang A Pi 3b+ is totally sufficient and probably 90% of all MMs use it. Then apply @sdetweil script and you’re in the game.

    • RE: Cooling Raspi

      @requiemmg I’m running my RPi 3B+ just with stock heat sinks and the temperature is always at 60-61 C. This temperature is not really worrying, rather normal. What might happen is that it may start throtteling from 1400 MHz to 1200 MHz when it excedd 60C. There have been some changes in Raspbian in the last years where the temperature limit was set from 70 to 60 C for throtteling and then changed back again. What you could do is raise the throtteling temp to 70 with following entry in in /boot/config.txt:

      temp_soft_limit=70

      But the Pi shouldn’t freeze at any of these temps. When it freezes, then usually when the memory ran up due to a memory leak. There might be some modules around which handle memory allocation a bit sloppy. As a workaround you can setup a cron job to reboot the Pi regulary, e.g. every 6 or 8 hours for example.

    • RE: [octomirror-module] Monitor & Control an OctoPrint 3D Printer Server

      @TheMysticle First I also couldn’t make the module work until I did the following:

      1. Entered in config.js the IP-address of the RPi OctoPrint runs on
      2. Enter the API key without any brackets (the ReadMe.md was a bit misleading)

      My config looks like this:

      {
              module: "octomirror-module",
              position: "middle_center",
              config: {
                  url: "http://192.168.0.123",
                  printerName: "Ender 3 Pro",
                  interactive: false, // Set to false to hide the file drop down and only show the stream.
                  api_key: "1234567890ABCDEFGHI"
              }
          },
