@tidus5 Yeah I’ve been thinking about how I can create the same display as the Nest itself, with the ticks on the outside of the circle, the ambient temperature, the target heating .cooling temperature, etc. I plan to release an update once I figure that out.

RE: MMM-MyScoreboard
@nevint Tracked it down. It affected all leagues using the using the SNET provider (NFL, MLB, CFL, NHL, MLS). ESPN leagues (NBA, NCAA) were fine. do a
git pull
and let me know if it fixes the issue for you. -
RE: MMM-MyCommute
@kecko Google changed the rules. As long as you are under a certain number of request, the. It’s still free. But if you go above that then you’ll automatically be billed. It used to be that you’d just get cut off at the threshold. I don’t remember exactly what the threshold is but I’m sure a quick search will turn it up.

RE: How do all of you controle (/interact with) your MagicMirror modules?
You can integrate one or more button into your mirror frame to do all sorts of things. Wire them up to the GPIO and you can use MMM-Buttons, for example, to have them do things.
My mirror has one buttons. When in powered off mode, the button starts up the Pi. When MagicMirror is running, a single press restarts MM, and a long press shuts the pi down. You could similarly have a button to cycle from one page to the next with each button press, or several buttons to do very specific things.

RE: MMM-MyNest
@mochman hey! Great to hear you like the changes! I’ve been thinking about modifying this to have the ticks in a citcle around th outside of the widget, just like the Nest itself. But I think it will require some pretty heavy changes to the markup and subsequently to the dom generator.
Why don’t I play around on my version of the module then when I have something working I’ll message you to figure out how easy it would be to merge the two.

RE: MMM-MyScoreboard
@sanj926 OK. Support for March Madness has been added. You configure it as if it were a separate league. I’ve also added a
label
parameter you can specify to change the name that is displayed in the league separator (if you’re using it). That way you could have it display something like “March Madness” instead of “NCAAM_MM”Example:
{ module: "MMM-MyScoreboard", position: "top_right", classes: "default everyone", header: "My Scoreboard", config: { showLeagueSeparators: true, colored: true, viewStyle: "mediumLogos", sports: [ { league: "NCAAM" //Division I }, { league: "NCAAM_MM", //March Madness label: "March Madness" } ] } },
It’s kind of a hacky solution… I would have preferred to treat March Madness as if it were a subgroup, much like specifying a division, but I don’t think it’s possible to retrieve Division I and March Madness in the same API call. It will take a bit of rearchitecting my provider system to allow multiple calls for a single league. This will have to do for now.

RE: How do I go about making a decent sized mirror cheap?
@chaseb1357 the cost of your mirror is going to scale proportionally with how big you want to make it. If you want to keep it relatively small (say 20" monitor) then you can likely get away with this:
and combine it with any refurb computer monitor you can find. However you’ll still need to purchase the raspberry pi and build the frame for it. You’ll looking at somewhere in the neighborhood of $250 at a minimum. Not sure if that fits your budget, and that’s before even considering touch capability.
When I built mine my costs quickly spiralled out of control… mine finished around $800. But that was with a 32" TV and a 1.5 meter piece of two-way glass.

RE: Facial Recognition - customize your mirror for every user!
@reaper81 yeah in that case it should work for what you’re trying to do. If it isn’t then I don’t know why.
You could also try using a motion sensor to turn the screen on and off. Essentially when someone walks up to the screen it shows modules, and after a specified time out of no motion sensed, if turns itself back off.

MMM-MyWink - Display status of smart home devices connected to a Wink hub
[card:jclarke0000/MMM-MyWink]
This displays the status of smart home devices connected to your Wink Hub.
Currently it only supports Locks and Garage Doors, but I plan to add support for more devices soon. I’ll also be adding a configuration to change the display to something that saves a bit more space in case you want to display the status of many items. But for now I want to have this running for a few days to iron out any problems that arise in how devices are monitored.
If you’re interested, give it a shot and let me know if anything doesn’t seem right…

RE: MMM-MyScoreboard
@fabbr I see where the confusion is coming from. At the top of the file there is a comment block that explains the feed. That part still refers to the old URL. But if you take a look at line 106, you’ll see the new URL:
request({url: "http://www.sportsnet.ca/wp-content/files/scoreboard.json", method: "GET"}, ...
