    @sdetweil I am aware of that, but somehow I just ignored it as I was “on auto-pilot”. :grinning_face_with_sweat:

  • RE: [MMM-JaST] Just another Stock Ticker (new: version 2.x)

    This module has been missing two things from the start, imho:

    1.) Ability to rename “Portfolio:” to custom tag, just like we can set stocks.
    2.) An option to add to portfolio cash amount.

    Everyone likes seeing MagicMirror, but sometimes when guests come over, the last thing you want somebody from outside to see is that you actually have a portfolio, let alone the size of it.
    Without it being seen, one can just say that they like to follow trends and keep things private.
    I change the name of Portfolio to some made-up ticker and pretend it’s a ticker for some index, but it’s a drag to mess around with en.json file in translations folder every time there’s an update.

    As for cash amount, sometimes there is unspecified amount of cash sitting in investors account. It’s not part of the portfolio per se, but being on investor account, it’s almost as good as being a part of portfolio.

    Is there any chance of seeing 1.) and/or 2.) being implemented?

  • RE: MMM-CalendarExt2

    @MMRIZE @BKeyport

    I prefer functionality over looks, and CX3agenda doesn’t satisfy my wants and needs.

    I want a calendar which shows a month and a half in advance, and which shows all the events in a single calendar. Having those in a list is both harder for me to follow-up on and find the gaps.

    I’ve given a thought to CalendarExt3, and while I like the idea behind it (to make it more simple for regular Joe, as Ext2 “is too complicated”), I’ve got a feeling that it has less features and because of it’s simplicity lacks all the customization options that Ext2 has. Am I right?

    As for space wasted, I assume you meant that if one day has, lets say 5 events, and other none, there would basically be a lot of space unused (as in, a lot of empty squares being “empty”, but taking the space anyway)? If so, I really don’t care about that, rather, I prefer it that way.

    I don’t want to just glance at it, I want it to be as informative as possible, to help me build my future schedules and plan events. Some events simply need explanation, because one word or shorting that one word won’t cut it.

    So, with all that said, does anyone knows of a way to make it work as I imagined?

  • RE: MMM-CalendarExt2

    How can I make the calendar show more than two lines of text for each event?

    I’ve had start and end times set up, but that would leave room for a few letters and it would look like:
    ‘08:00-09:30 Ext…’

    Then I’ve used this:
    .CX2 .weekSlot .event:not(.fullday) .eventMain {
    height: auto;
    flex-wrap: wrap;
    flex-grow: 0;
    overflow: visible;
    }

    and it allowed me to have time in one row, and text in another, however if the text alone is more than what could be fit in a single row, again I get 3 dots instead of having the box adjust to the size of the text.

    It would look like this:
    ‘08:00-09:30
    Extended line of t…’

    Also, whenever I have two enlarged boxes in the same day, the second one would partially go over the previous one, as if the previous one wasn’t enlarged.

    Any ideas how I could solve these two issues?

    @sdetweil OMG, you are right, thank you for pointing out the line!:man_bowing:

    I was so focused on lines below line 39 (modules), that I completely skipped the ones above as I considered them to be mere comments… :man_facepalming_light_skin_tone:

    Sorry for necroing this post, but from all I’ve read so far, this came up with most relevant information and solutions.

    My question is this - is there a reason why the language change via config was never incorporated in this module?

  • RE: MMM-OpenWeatherForecast - Replacement for MMM-DarkSkyForecast

    So what’s the solution for the 401 error?
    The key works in default weather module, but in this one it’s not.

    @sdetweil said in MMM-OpenWeatherForecast - Replacement for MMM-DarkSkyForecast:

    @DDE12 NEVER run audit fix…

    Can you elaborate why?
    I for one don’t like seeing vulnerabilities and critical messages anywhere, and letting security flaws linger…

    @blaukon said in 2nd mirror! 175x45cm:

    Mailbox (unfinished)

    Sender - RYLR896+Arduino Nano
    => motionsensor for new mail
    => reedsensor for picking up mail
    => energy: “simple” usb powerbank with rechargeable AA batteries (does not shut off due to low power consumption)

    Receiver - RYLR986+ESP8266
    => energy via USB Port rasberry pi

    Can you please share more build details for this?
    I would love to be able to have such thing myself, but I have no clue what to do with these parts! :face_with_tears_of_joy:
