@sdetweil Thanks for the hint! I came across this part in the https://github.com/Ax-LED/MMM-Podcast2/blob/master/MMM-Podcast2.js already and was not sure, if this function is filled within MMM-Podcast in another way.

  • MMM-Podcast2 just shows undefined

    Hi all,

I’m using MM V2.19.0 on Raspbian Buster and try to get MMM-Podcast2 up and running.

Some time ago I asked for help here regarding the missing request package. Since that I hadn’t found the time to work on my MM since now … I started with a fresh MM installation again.

After the insatllation of MMM-Podcast2 I installed the request package as mentioned in https://forum.magicmirror.builders/topic/15778/fix-for-black-screen-in-2-16-and-later. Now I stuck an moule output that says “UNDEFINED”.

I tried to do a bit of research. In the Console Output from developer tools it says, that within the main function updateModuleContent the first parameter newcontent isn’t of the type Node. So I made a log output with that parameter. But now I’m kind of stucked with my abilities of trying to understand what is happening. Does anyone has an idea why the content is “undefined” or what I could do to further check where is the reason of the error?

  • MMM-Podcast2 - deprecated package request

    Hi all,

while trying to build my first magicmirror I’m struggeling on the usage of MMM-Podcast2.
I noticed that since MM Release 2.15.0 the package request is removed as it’s deprecated.

As MMM-Podcast 2 makes use of this package MM is showing this error on startup:

[11.12.2021 18:18.30.091] [ERROR] Error: Cannot find module 'request'
    Require stack:
    - /home/pi/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-Podcast2/node_helper.js

        at Function.Module._resolveFilename (/home/pi/MagicMirror/node_modules/module-alias/index.js:49:29)
        at Module._load (internal/modules/cjs/loader.js:732:27)
        at Function.f._load (electron/js2c/asar_bundle.js:5:12913)
        at Module.require (internal/modules/cjs/loader.js:959:19)
        at require (internal/modules/cjs/helpers.js:88:18)
        at Object.<anonymous> (/home/pi/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-Podcast2/node_helper.js:11:17)
        at Module._compile (internal/modules/cjs/loader.js:1078:30)
        at Object.Module._extensions..js (internal/modules/cjs/loader.js:1108:10)

So, my question is: Does anyone maybe already replaced the usage package request with e.g. node-fetch (it’s stated as successor in the release notes) in MMM-Podcast2?

  • RE: Slim, Frameless Bathroom Mirror with a 27" Display

    Hi @reaper81,
awesome good looking mirror you have built! Another question regarding the window foil. Was it already mounted on the back of the mirror or did you do this on your own. If yes for “on your own”, what kind of foil was it in order to have a proper connection between mirror glass, foil and wooden frame?

Ok, do you maybe know of anyone who realized a touch smart mirror with your glass? I would love to order a glass from you. The descriptions sound very good. Better than all the others on the market.

@Goldjunge_Chriz: Do you know if the mirror glass is usable with a touch display like the ELO 2794L? It’s a monitor with PCAP technology which generally works with glass.
