@sdetweil I am looking to just use the usb mic to change pages. I was going to use my Alexa in another room of the house.

What kinda of other cool things would you suggest to do with Alexa? It may be worth buying another.

I am wanting to use voice control to change my pages on the mirror. I have successfully been using the Pages module with an Alexa module. I would like to be able to use the hot word module to do this, so I can free up my Alexa. Is there another module I need to make this happen?

I fixed it! just had to delete the html sections in the css.

@sdetweil ok I now have motion working. Tested with vlc. But I’m unable to get your module to work. What screen shots might you need to help?
I changed the time to 1min but the screen will not hide.

I have read multiple forums about motion detector and facial recognition for turning on the magic mirror. Is there one that is plug and play, or has a good walkthrough? I’m having difficulties with python and the motion software.

@sdetweil OK I figured it out! I did a little more reading on the raspberry pi website. I had the HDMI cord plugged into HDMI one on the actual raspberry pi and was having issues with the resolutions on the screen sizes. Once I did a full reset and plugged in the HDMI 0 I was able to adjust the screen to fit the TV

@sdetweil The desktop rebooted to the full size of the screen correctly. But the magic mirror still looks like the original picture and it’s not stretching to the full size of the screen in width.

@sdetweil Is there an easy way to do that?

The only way I know would be to save all my work onto a hard drive and then resetting the pie from scratch. I’m pretty new to this.

@sdetweil I got a fatal: not a git repository. It then only shows my traffic module with the screen black. I still have the bar of the desktop to the right.

My magic mirror will not fill the entire TV monitor screen. Can anyone help solve this issue?
I have adjusted the over scan as well as the mirrors css file.

I am looking for a module that will link to my Arlo camera security feed. In theory it would pop up on the mirror only when the camera is active.

I have seen modules for ring but nothing that works for Arlo. Any ideas?!
