Great work.

Just set this up, all went ok to the point where the photo’s don’t display.
I have a section on the MM screen cleared where the default 800x600 image would be displayed, but it is a black screen. I have the following error on the console after starting MM.sh appearing every refresh interval.
“There is no scanned photo currently.”
The album has several photo’s within it, The album name appeared next to the Album ID, I’ve copied the Album ID only into my config.

Any pointers would be great.

Using Tado thermostat. I’ve been very happy with it, also MMM-Tado just works!

udp protocol needed for my doorbell rtsp feed!
Just needed to add the protocol: “udp”,
instead of typical tcp.
Feed appeared after a few seconds!
At last!

Sorry to hijack this thread.
Are there any log’s created to investigate why a video feed will not display in the MM.
omxplayer will stream the feed fine from the command line, using
sudo omxplayer -o hdmi rtsp://0.0.0.0:554/onvif1

Any advice gratefully received…

Allowing the install to complete before cancelling the script helps with a successful installation.
Having left the install to run past the stages that look like it has crashed. Gave the installation script chance to complete.
I’ve successfully installed Magicmirror using the latest 2017-09-07 Raspbian stretch. Following these procedures mentioned above, nb as user ‘pi’ not ‘root’.
Hope this helps some other people.

Hi All,

I’ve been performing a few installs now with no success due to many errors.
I am about to start a new install again from scratch. Reading this 4 month old post it is suggested to install Jessie with pixel desktop. Is this still the best platform to install from or is it ok to install from the latest Raspbian flavour stretch. 2017-09-07.
I tried this current version first and this attempt failed at several stages. Then went onto an older version of Jessie which seemed to be more successful, But ultimately got a blank screen when starting up the application.

Thanks for any input, pointing me in the right direction.
