@0livia the compliments module provides a configuration option for changing the style of the text
so you don’t have to do a custom css entry
also css override for a specific module you would do
.modulename .classname {
style_setting:value;
}
for compliments this might look like override value of xlarge class)
.compliments .xlarge {
font-size: 20px;
}
@djboob66 there is nothing functionally wrong with his text…
sure the braces aren’t lined up and the sections aren’t indented like I personally would like and do… but MagicMirror doesn’t care.
@luisestrada a new config option lets you change the prefix instead of having it hard coded
defaultSymbolClassName: "fas fa-fw fa-",
and u can set it for each calendar config
url:
defaultSymbolClassName: "fas fa-fw fa-",
so u can try develop, but there is no guarantee that is is fixed there
@ecirpnaes ok, do this
cd ~/MagicMirror
rm -rf node_modules
npm install --omit=dev --no-audit --no-fund
i just did this on my pi4 after upgrading from 2.21
@matefits71 on Linux, the xwindows graphical system writes to a numbered ‘display’ , and there can be multiple.
windows doesn’t have that. which is why I’ve written to remove that part, and also run the manual npm install in vendors and go ta folders
@tanvir586 said in Pir sensor:
and the .js is
never edit the module js file
all config goes in config.js
I don’t know the module
does the PIR work outside MM?
@Cyric there is a false sense of security w sd cards. the memory technology used is write once. the bits cannot be reused
the software does not know this… the hardware does the work under the covers and say Success!
even when its not.
once the bits are used, the card is dead. may turn read only or may start exhibiting corrupted files ( the software does not know)
this technology is great for cameras and music, low write activity… not so much for os’s that page, write log files… or apps like mm that constantly cause log files
I think, based on your description your card is used up. time for a new one…
I changed my pis to boot from SD card, but run from ssd (same technology, just really bigger)
ps. I have lost 10 sd cards to this problem over the last 4 years…
@Latch there is a config option
appendLocationNameToHeader: true,
i would add, outside the config:{} section
header:"",
as the location is appended to the header (don’t know what happens if there isn’t one)
