@Fozi Agreed, no clue what fixed the problem. I tried @Stoffbeuteluwe’s config file with the old Alexa, no luck. I received my Dot a few hours later, plugged it in, and voilà, “I’ve discovered 18 new devices.” My guess is maybe some outdated WiFi related hardware on the 1st Gen Alexa?

@Fozi Yes, literally just the new dot. But I had literally had the first Alexa that came out a few years ago, so it might of had some issues.

@Stoffbeuteluwe UPDATE: I purchased a new Alexa (Echo Dot) and I got everything working properly. Thanks again!

  • RE: Hi, there is a new Alexa Module

@Stoffbeuteluwe Really appreciate the post! Everything appears to be working properly, but Alexa still does not detect my mirror. I have the 1st Gen Alexa, so its possible that is my issue. Thanks for all your help!

@Stoffbeuteluwe I’m having similar issues. My Alexa is unable to discover my MM. Don’t believe there are any errors in the config file. Also, the Alexa icon appears on my mirror. Do I need Wemo or Fauxmo in stalled on the RPi?

Any others have luck getting their MM discovered?
