email module black screen

Hello, after i installed the email module and wrote like in the readme the config in the config.js i have after restart pm2 a black screen. if i cancel the module from the config.js i can see my screen again with my modules.

anyone a idea?

Are you certain you installed it properly by going into the folder and using the npm install command?

@tosti007 At certain point some errors for this kind of case is because a forget

npm install

We’ll can figure out a solution for problems like that.

@tosti007 yes of course and without any errors. when i cancel the config in config.js everthing is working very good

MagicMirror will not quit, but it might be a good idea to check why this happened. Maybe no internet connection?

@fischi87 something is already using this port, either an old instance of mm is still running or something else is using that port you can change the port in the config file

how i do it with electron?

i found the mistake because of the black screen.

i use the module Carousel and in this i didn’t change the module ‘email-mirror’ to ‘email’ because after installation the folders name is ‘email-mirror’ but u have to change this folder in /MagicMirror/modules to ‘email’ than it works.

I apologize you had to figure this out the hard way, but the installation instructions clearly state this.
