MMM-AlarmClock
-
Hello and thank you for the Module. I am trying to learn to add modules to my MM and could use some help please. I have cloned the folders in to my /modules/default directory as well as modified my config.js file but the alarm object is still not showing on the mirror. Here is my config.js file if someone could see if I have done something wrong. Thanks.
modules: [ { module: "alert", }, { module: "updatenotification", position: "top_bar" }, { module: "clock", position: "top_left" }, { module: "calendar", header: "US Holidays", position: "top_left", config: { calendars: [ { symbol: "calendar-check-o ", url: "webcal://www.calendarlabs.com/templates/ical/US-Holidays.ics" } ] } }, { module: "compliments", position: "lower_third" }, { module: "currentweather", position: "top_right", config: { location: "New York", locationID: "", //ID from http://www.openweathermap.org/help/city_list.txt appid: "YOUR_OPENWEATHER_API_KEY" } }, { module: "weatherforecast", position: "top_right", header: "Weather Forecast", config: { location: "New York", locationID: "5128581", //ID from http://www.openweathermap.org/help/city_list.txt appid: "YOUR_OPENWEATHER_API_KEY" } }, { module: 'MMM-AlarmClock', position: 'top_right', config: { alarms: [ {time: "18:30", days: [2,4], title: "Soccer", message: "Get ready for soccer training!"}, ], } }, { module: "newsfeed", position: "bottom_bar", config: { feeds: [ { title: "New York Times", url: "http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/HomePage.xml" } ], showSourceTitle: true, showPublishDate: true } }, ]
};
/*************** DO NOT EDIT THE LINE BELOW ***************/
if (typeof module !== “undefined”) {module.exports = config;} -
@gable74 it has to be cloned in modules not modules/default

Thank you. Sorry for the noob errors, I am trying…lol. To sound even more stupid, I also figured out you need to remove the “-Master” from the folder name as well. At least I figured that out on my own…LOL.
“MMM-AlarmClock”…not “MMM-AlarmClock-Master” :)

@gable74 thats because you downloaded it manually

@strawberry-3.141 , Because I adjust so big font display (in css of alert module) but the border around display alarm font not expand (It’s fix), I would like to know how to expand border?
Thanks for all help -
@nobita the
.ns-alert
class makes use of a fixed with of 40% so you have to change the value of this class in the custom.css -
@strawberry-3.141 OK,IT work Thanks for your hint

Thank you so much for this module, it’s amazing and really easy to use!
I was wondering however, if I would want to let’s say set the alarm through some buttons attached to my pi, would it be best to try and inject lines into the config file (which seems sloppy to me) or can I set it through the js file directly? Or do I just make a second setnextalarm function?

@axellejamous you cannot do that via the config. I suggest you to create a module which is handling your buttons and sending a
SET_ALARM
notification. Then you need to enhance the alarm module by listening to that notification and set the alarm accordingly.
