      You can buy controller board for your LCD from ebay or Amazon.

          First, do you know your LCD parts no or id?
          By Example,
          Dell Inspiron 1545 has 15.6" LCD - LP156WH2 (by LG Display) as a screen.
          It can be controllable with this;
          https://www.amazon.de/Audioeingang-LCD-Controller-Karte-LP156WH2-LED-Hintergrundbeleuchtung-LCD-Panel/dp/B06XKD8FN4/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1535541589&sr=1-3-spons&keywords=lcd+controller&psc=1

          You need HDMI cable and 12 V 3 A DC Power Adaptor additionally.
          That’s all.

            Buy a V29/V59/V56. They are universal and the firmware can be flashed using USB. The board with remote control (w/o inverter -> an extra 1-2€) are less than 10€ on Aliexpress. I have multiple of them. Disadvantage is that the doesn’t wake up via HDMI. I am using a relay to power on/off the screen via PIR-sensor.

                  @mykle1 cause somne of the laptops are broken (water/juice/coffee). And some of the simply don’t start, but they are 5+ years and I don’t want to waste money to get them working

                  • to place MB from laptop you need additional space.
