I just started using MMM-EyeCandy to show a radar loop gif on my mirror but it only loads the initial loop and never updates it at the set interval. The radar gif is too large for and iFrame so MMM-EyeCandy is perfect for scaling the gif down to better fit my mirror. Anyone else using this module with success?

      I am! :-)

I assure you, the module is updating as expected. Can you give me the url that you are trying to use it with and I will test it?

        I sure can, it’s http://images.intellicast.com/WxImages/RadarLoop/dsm_None_anim.gif
Thanks for your help! I let it sit for over 2 hours last weekend and the timestamps on the radar images never changed. The site updates the loop every 15 minutes roughly.

Ok, I tested your url and the module does update as expected, including the radar image from the url. I ran MM on my left monitor and a google Chromium window on my right monitor. MMM-EyeCandy (set to 5 minute update) updated and refreshed the url as expected. The url in the Chromium window did not, unless manually refreshed. I cannot reproduce the behavior you are expressing.

I would start by deleting your current installation of MMM-EyeCandy and doing a fresh installation of the module. It only takes a second. Then please post your config entry for EyeCandy here, in a code block so I can have a look at it for you

Your module is working just fine. After hiding other modules one at a time, it appears that the module MMM-ecobee is preventing the EyeCandy module from refreshing. I don’t have any experience with coding so I can’t even begin to figure out why this might happen but I appreciate your help in solving this for me. If I use the auto refresh module to refresh the entire mirror every 10 minutes everything seems to work okay so I guess that is what I will have to do. Thanks again for the help and thanks for the EyeCandy module!!

That is odd. I don’t use the ecobee module so I can’t speak to that. I’m glad EyeCandy is working for you now. Have fun.

I thought I might tell you this. I went to your url site and got one of my own. I now have EyeCandy displaying my own personalized radar.
