      @sdetweil when i go to /home/pi/MagicMirror/modules
      these are the folders present: Default, node_modules, README.md
      If i further click into default i get a ton more (alert, calendar, clock, compliment s, currentweather, helloworld , newsfeed, …) Other than the magicmirror program, I have not installed anything else

        @Gomalley ok, wasnt clear u had just the base MagicMirror.

        If you do pm2 logs, what does it show?

        Also, what does npm -v show?

        U may need to upgrade npm

        npm i -g npm

        Then do the npm install again in the MagicMirror folder

                @sdetweil this is what happened when I typed in the command

                pi@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo chown -R pi
                chown: missing operand after ‘pi’
                Try ‘chown --help’ for more information.

                      @Gomalley it doesn’t say anything, it just changes ownership of everything in the home folder and down to the user pi.

                          @Gomalley no. Looks like u installed npm w sudo(root)

                          So, short term do

                          sudo npm i -g npm

                                    @sdetweil I was able to start up he mirror by doing

                                    cd ~ /MagicMirror
                                    npm start

                                    The mirror started up like usual but it didn’t restart after I exited out of it.

                                        gave me error messages so I ran the updated script and keeps coming up with an error for shelljs

                                          Is it possibly the version of raspbian that is messing this up because it use to work before they released the latest version of raspbian and before MM 2.8 as well.

                                            @Gomalley pm2 needs to be reinstalled, cause the npm version changed.

                                            lets try my new pm2 fixup script…

                                            bash -c "$(curl -sL  https://www.dropbox.com/s/cy2z7lbkpifcbrk/fixuppm2.sh?dl=0)"

                                            I’ve added your problems to the list it handles
