          Just did a fresh install. Git clone and npm install like you did. Added example config to config.js. Deleted one of the preset accounts and changed the google one into my email. Typed password

          I had to change fade from true to false to get the module to show emails

          Make sure there are new mails in the mailbox
          Check your password

          For every new email a line NEW EMAIL is printed in the console

          Also when new mail arives, in the console of the webbrowser the payload can be found. When in magic mirror full screen mode, type ctrl shift i. Wait a few seconds. In the console log on the right you should a log containing " new payload array ()." Click on array opens the received emails

          Modules MMM-rainfc, MMM-bustimes, MMM-Harmony, MMM-Rijks

            @cirdan Unfortunately, the module still does not work for me. Have it disabled mitlerweile again.

              @CyruS1337 With gmail you have to create an application key on gmail itself. Your email account password would not work.

                And how do I create an application key myself? :-/

                  @CyruS1337 In gmail, you need to select the Google Apps menu: 0_1567611843267_e4890805-370c-4dac-b435-300a7a0fdb2c-image.png

                  Next click on Account. On the left hand side click on Security.
                  On the right Select App Passwords and create a password for your app. Copy that key into your mirror where you need to enter the password and that should work.

                    Hello

                    Sorry if I ask again, but unfortunately I can not find it. So I go like this -> Account -> Security and then I do not find what you mean.

                      @CyruS1337 No problem:
                      When loggin into gmail, on the right hand side there is the “hamburger menu”:
                      0_1567691436238_f4313eaa-8a4a-4186-b95f-a508940eaf92-image.png

                      When you click that you get a list of apps, select Account from there. On the left click security:
                      0_1567691547044_ed5f3d88-fa5f-48e4-a27e-52f0dd2b9fa0-image.png

                      On the right you will see Signing into Google. Click on the “>” on the line “App Passwords”
                      0_1567691628894_069c7c94-1896-4748-8f6e-0c84dc66c673-image.png

                      On the next screen enter your password and then on the next screen you will be able to create the key.

                          @sdetweil Strange. I had to generate a key to get email to work. Not sure why you guys don’t see the option.

                          Edit:
                          Maybe because your 2FA is turned off.

                              I do not see it either. I see the same as sdetweil. I’ve also approved third-party apps with account access on this page below.

                              Can I do something that would help you? Post a log or something. You just have to tell me the command;)

                                @CyruS1337 you have to turn on 2 step verification (2 factor authentication aka 2fa)

                                  @CyruS1337 I just setup the module and created my app key and email is working for me.
                                  0_1567699562380_1486bf00-438f-4fa7-8443-bbc25b2cf9ca-image.png

                                  And my config: I also had to change fade to false in order for email to display properly

                                                  module: 'email',
                                                  position: 'top_right',
                                                  header: 'Email',
                                                  config: {
                                                           accounts: [
                                                                  {
                                                                          user: 'xxxxxxxxxxxxx@gmail.com',

                                    Good Morning

                                    So I activated the 2FA and replaced the generated key with my password. I also took your config and added my username and password from 2FA. Unfortunately, as before, there is still “load” and it does not show any emails.

                                          @CyruS1337 I assume that you meant that you replace your password with the generated key? When you run pm2 logs what do you get? Does it show anything for email? Have you in the /modules/email folder run npm install?
