You sure as hell can! Every so often, you can see the ISS in your night sky. To us on Earth, it looks like a bright star moving
quickly above the horizon. Visible to the naked eye, the ISS is best seen at dawn and dusk.

Wow! This is great. Too bad I’m living in a shitty-weather country. (You got an app for that?) But summers are great. It’s a small city, soon summer nights we can see a lot of crap spinning around in the sky. I’m a big fan of the HeavensAbove app, which I now realize, inspired my name choice for FlightsAbove.

I’m an amateur astronomer. I have two, average telescopes that I put to great use in the Spring and summer. I love seeing the expression on someone’s face when they see Jupiter or Saturn with their own eyes

@Mykle1 Fantastic! I have a simple bird watcher’s Fieldmaster ED60DS I got just for fun, and a few months ago, I was checking this “star” and it was Jupiter and 4 of its moons, crisp as ever. Showed it to the family and everyone was screaming of joy!

I have an inexpensive Astromaster LT80 AZ - but the cheap tripod mount really is difficult to. Been wanting to upgrade, but haven’t managed to yet.

Cool. I have an Astromaster 114 and a Meade Infinity. They are just enough to enjoy some casual viewing from the backyard. Like you, I want better but . . .

Any idea why the rise times from the open API is 20 min off from that provided by the spot-the-station?

Another thing, it seem that there are only night events tracked… Is that correct?

Perhaps because the ISS is only visible during the transition between day and night, night and day

I had an error…i live in france…resolved when i put region state: “none”.

This usually happens when there is an error in the config.js entry for this module. country, regionState and city options cannot contain spaces. It is stated in the example config of the repo. This is most common mistake.

Please post your config entry in a code block.

Module is working as expected.

You are absolutely right, sir. The module/widget does accept “None” in the regionState: config option and fixes that issue rather nicely. This is the first I’ve heard of that problem. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. And thanks for the solution. I went to the url and confirmed.

Update to Version 1.0.1

Updated module and fixed config so that underscores are no longer necessary in config options country, regionState and city.

Also, when regionState is not necessary for your location (Ex. Toulon, France), simply leave regionState blank.
