The latest Install Guide (MM w/ Google Assistant)

Hi Huys, I am trying to follow this guide however I have trouble finding some of the folders after the install.

In Step 5: The path ~/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-Hotword/node_modules/snowboy does not exist. I found Snowboy in ~/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-Hotword/snowboy instead.

In Step 5 after installing the assistant, I cannot find the folder scripts in ~/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-AssistantMk2 to make them executable.

Does anyone have an idea why that could be? I am running the latest Rasbian Buster distribution.

MM and modules are changed often. So In some cases; following original instruction would be another way.

For MMM-Hotword and MMM-AssistantMk2, It was updated recently… (almost 1~2 months ago). Go to each repository, Read the docs, and follow the instruction to install.

@Sean Hi Sean. At the moment, i have time to test google assistant haha So, I update Hotword and Assistant Mk2 in V3. But, it doesn’t work… I don’t have the icon google assistant on my screen…
Can you help me please ?

Change your configuration. probably you are using old ones for both modules.

I said both modules. :) Reconfigure Hotword also. Follow the instructions of wiki. (There might be for V3 configuration sample somewhere)

and now, google assistant it’s ok when i said “smartmirror”
BUT , a google accunt window open to put the google projet and the google window give me a connexion key.
But, I already do this step before, with node auth_and_test.js and I don’t understand…

I close my google page and re-open my google page and can not see
to Accept the client verification process etc…

I’ve a same problem post installing the Assistant MK2 i dont see audio bar.

I’m tring to locate the docusments to install Hotword and MK2 but couldn’t, is it possible for you to share the link to find the documents please

@sdetweil Thanks, I ended up starting over with this module. When I go through the steps the MMM hot word module asks me for username and password I think this may have been my issue. Is there a way to down load this to get past this step?

wow … this tutorial is outdated … it’s have been write in 2018 !
Hello … we are in 2020 … some code have moving … some code have been deleted, archive or just in private !

check Forum for another module because MMM-Hotword is DELETED and MMM-AssistantMk2 is Downgraded to Audio output ONLY
the best way is READING the developer github source and NOT any tutorial in the web.
Any tutorial is available for CURRENT version of the tutorial have be written and not AFTER ! (Source Code change, install method change)
