MMM-Awesome-Alexa Trouble

The information related to the capitalization is found on the developers install page. He specifically calls out “MMM-awesome-alexa”. However, I have yet to get this module to function. Each time I add to the MM config, the black screen with cursor appears.

@shagtimetim i created a script of his steps,
make executable.
doinstall.sh

does all the module install steps, so remove the current awesome-alexa module folder, ignore the errors, only result of last step matters

@sdetweil Thank you! Installing now. Being a confirmed noob to MM, can you advise on this step “Build snowboy to your device specifications, in the /snowboy directory”?

@shagtimetim it will do that just hang on,
all this does is take the steps on the wiki make them run in a script

it does fix one dependency correction

@jste84 I have no issues since I used Sam’s steps
