MM on Mac mini with motion to turn monitor off
-
I want to use my Mac Mini for my MM. Is there a way to implement motion detection with a cam and disable HDMI or monitor if no motion is capturing? I have this on my raspberry with motion and it works perfectly… this is for my one of the most important things! :smiling_face: thanks for any help…

I don’t see why it would be any different from your rpi

@dxfan227 thank’s for your answer. I don’t know, is there a possibility to install motion on Mac osx and disable HDMI when motion is detected? Is motion compatible with os x?
-
@trividar did you solved the Problem with the motion on Mac mini?
-
@Stoffbeuteluwe Sorry for my late answer! No, unfortunately not! I have tried so many things, but I am not able to make it work ;o( Have you tried it?

@trividar i just fixed MMM-SleepWake for mac…
-
@trividar No sorry I can’t found a solution on Mac, I tried logitec hub, and Pulse eight …I’m not able to make it work tv on and off.
-
@Stoffbeuteluwe ok, mine doesn’t either. So sleepwake supports hide/show…
-
@sdetweil hide show the modules?
-
@sdetweil harmony hub can be a solution but not in my case because my tv fits exactly in the frame
If you have space around your tv you can use it to turn Mac and tv on and off and it works with Alexa -
@Stoffbeuteluwe yes…
