Reply from firefox 68.7.0 at android 7.0. Looks ok. Edit: and is ok

@sdetweil That’s strange indeed. Maybe it has something to do with your preferences.
These are my settings:

@MichMich I see an animation i hadn’t noticed before… on the toolbar for the forum page I see i am currently looking at post 4 out of 4 for this topic. when I hit submit, it goes to a busy circle, and then a check mark, and then switches to the count again
but not all the time
Testing this out…
Nope, nothing like that.
I don’t have any problems and am moderator.
@MichMich might have the right assumption of this being a locale issue!? -

Browser: Firefox
Version: 75.0 (64-bit)When I
Submita reply, it is not displayed right away. I have to re-open the topic (a simple re-load of the page opens the reply form again, I think. Let me try…).And when I want to make another reply, the form is still filled with the text from the previous one.
Do you have the option “After posting a reply, show newest post” checked in your settings?

-
@MichMich settings are the same, except I don’t have the admin page language setting.
the setting I would expect to have the impact is After posting a reply, show the new post
but it has no effect on or off. these are the same as my prior settings…I have just recently (yesterday) switched the skin to one that shows the title bar buttons on the chat window.
but no change in general behavior. -
@lavolp3 phil and I have the same behavior, I have that box checked (as its always been)
-
another interesting thing… notifications of my post do NOT get sent out… I DO receive notifications when others post tho
-
This is such a mysterious case … I have absolutely no idea where to look! :-S
-
It gets even weirder!
I have gotten a response from @sdetweil in another thread 2 days ago. It doesn’t show up in my notifications.
Answers from others like Mykle or you MichMich show up… -
Yes, same here!
-
So, tell us, @sdetweil: what did you do to the angry nodeBB gods? :face_with_tears_of_joy:
-
@MichMich i got no clue!.. I am not the only one having this trouble…
I have logged off, cleared cache, cleared cookies, used different browser, OS, physical system.
-
@sdetweil test from safari on ipad
-
@MichMich safari post also did not update the display after posting. I can see it from Chrome on Linux, but only after manual refresh… it used to update on the fly when someone posted while I was in a topic.
-
@lavolp3 - I am seeing similar behavior. People responding to my posts are not showing up in notifications.
-
Can you reproduce the problems when you login with a new account?
-
@cirdan I will try that. Others can reproduce logging on as me

-
@lavolp3 we’ll try with new id

turn off refresh after post -
@samdtw new post no refresh, hangs and waits, never finishes post. til manual refresh
