      Description:

Here is a module I created:
It allows you, for people with not-so-good screens or that want to get festive, display snow in the background of your mirror.

      Try it out sometime!

Well, that’s the repository, but the actual module is in the snow folder.

Can you post a screen shot of what it looks like?

A Life? Cool! Where can I download one of those from?

Would be great if you could create a separate repo for every module 🙂

We're all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?

@nhubbard this is pretty cool… and i was thinking what if you tied it to the weather? For example if rain is forcast, mirror starts raining. Just a thought… nice job regardless 🙂

I’d also recommend making the images local to the module. What if Imgur disappears one day? What if their URL changes? What if the system MM is on isn’t online all the time? You end up with a broken module that isn’t loading.

@KirAsh4 Hi, I’m wondering if what you mentioned above has happened. When I add the module to my config, and restart the mm, the screen goes black (all the modules disappear). Once I remove the module from my config, all of the other modules work how they’re supposed to again. Also, I am new to the forum (and coding as well) so if this is the wrong place to post this question please let me know and I will change it.

@byoung2010, whether the images have changed location, that’s a question for the author of the module, @nhubbard.

As for your screen going blank, that sounds more like you have a configuration problem rather than something with the module.

I want to report a “bug”: The snow goes UPWARDS on my screen…! 😉

i would love to know how to get this module working as well.
update* i have it working but i think the browser that is loading MM is the problem because the module is working beatifully when i contact it via another machine as opposed to the rasp pi to which the snow does not move.
