      @sdetweil yes - all that is needed is …/2.5/… -> …/3.0/…

@MarcLandis ok. i have seen some other users post that it had taken some time before the new key worked.

without debugging hard to tell. i expect the fetch would fail 401. authentication failed

It seems the default API was changed from 2.5 to 3.0 with the recent update. Even it is (not yet) in the documentation.

          Here is what I did:
          I inserted in the config.js

          apiVersion: "2.5",

Since the problem occurred after the recent MM2 Update (and worked fine until then) it was clear, that the update has some doing in that.

Even if the 2.5 API should be down, it is working just fine.

After this change, it works (again) like charm.

              Didn’t see this until now.

That is why the workaround with the API Version works. ;-)

@Ray the number of calls depend on the update intervall you set in your config. For example if you have it update every 10 minutes it will be 144 calls a day.

if I sit for 15 minutes that would be 96 calls is that correct

Hi and sorry for the late reply.
I am pretty busy with my kids and do not have much time to code at the moments.

I changed the default url of the module to version 3.0 as 2.5 has been shut down in June.

I also updated the Readme to respect the latest changes.

Are you sure you use my fork of the module and not the original one?

The url of my fork is https://github.com/Tom-Hirschberger/MMM-OpenWeatherForecast/blob/master/README.md

it just caught me off guard just all of a sudden stopped two days ago with no warning or anything that would’ve been nice and I’m talking about the website not you

So I went ahead and applied for the app 3.0
and gave them my credit card
and it was extremely easy to do
I did not have to create a new app key I was able to use my original ones

I also change the number of calls from 10 minutes to 15 minutes
                                          and I added “https://api.openweathermap.org/data/3.0/onecall?”
                                          In the node_helper.js

thanks to everyone here I was successful
my two systems are back online showing the current temperature

if you change to the latest version/fork of the module you do not need to do that
