@cowboysdude Thank you so much for your work on this module! I was digging through the code to see how you did it and noticed there’s some code for getting the MLB standings. Is this something that you are actively working on? It would be great to see the scores as well as the standings. Thanks again for a great module!

@Durnumosis Well yes I am working on that part :) I’m running into snags so it’s going to be a while… still trying to figure it all out :)

Of course the standings is part of the voice part [MMM-voice]… I am also working on a standalone standings module… no voice required…

Question guys, I have the focus_on set to “Yankees” but today they happen to be off so all I see is the header, with the MLB logo and the text MLB Scores 04/20/2017. Is there a way to hide that if the team that is set in the focus_on is not playing that day?

It loads and shows scores and such but no logos not even MLB. Both are set to true

Any ideas ?

@shanecrozier I only have one… I just deleted and reinstalled on mine and it’s working fine…

SO in the MMM-MLB directory make sure the icon folder is there ;)

@cowboysdude yes it is already checked that and it has all the icons in it

@shanecrozier Well I would say reinstall it because it doesn’t require npm install to run…

Like I said I just downloaded it and reinstalled it and it’s working. So not really sure what’s going there as I"m not able to reproduce the issue unless the icons dir isn’t there.

I made a small change to this module.

If you add the following:

awayTempColumn.setAttribute(“team-name”, games.away_team_name);
homeTempColumn.setAttribute(“team-name”, games.home_team_name);

Then you can do this in your custom.css:

.MMM-MLB .awayteam[team-name=“Giants”] { color: #FB5B1F; font-weight: bold; }

.MMM-MLB .hometeam[team-name=“Giants”] { color: #FB5B1F; font-weight: bold; }

And now, my Giants are in Giant orange…

Thank you @emlowe and from kolbyjack for his new changes which are:

Center text in R/H/E columns
Add team record next to team name
Make status and venue text after table optional
Simplify table creation by reducing code duplication
Show scores from yesterday until 4pm UTC (noon EDT/9am PDT)

Go to:
~MagicMirror/modules/MMM-MLB
do a git pull to update :)

Description:

Create individual widget types for pregame, ingame, postgame, postponed game, and no game
Pregame: Show start time and propable pitchers
In game: Show inning state, runners on base, count, outs, pitcher, and batter
Postgame: Show R/H/E, winning pitcher, losing pitcher, and save pitcher
Postponed game: Show reason for postponing (if known)
No game: Explicitly show that the focus_on team doesn’t have a game today

Damn, this is a cool module! I’m building an MM Sports computer for someone as a gift and this is already . I don’t know how you geniuses do it, however I’m happy you do. I tip my hat to you, sir, and I thanks for sharing this high-quality advent of yours. 👏🏼
