How to halt execution of MM2

I just completed the installation and started MM2 using npm start. I was shocked when the default MM2 screen appeared! Totally shocked! But now how to I stop execution and get back a terminal window to start tinkering with the configuration?

Altkey should bring down a menu bar at the top of MM. You can exit MM there, minimize MM there and you can run your dev tools from there. -

Also, you can do your tinkering in a text editor if you prefer that to doing it in the terminal. I find it much easier that way.
