@j-e-f-f This can definitely be a future improvement but is there a way to get support for some of the relatively recent expansion MLS teams or if I use their codes, would it just work without additional code (especially with the ESPN update)?

The recent update already includes all current 28 MLS teams. However any future additional teams will work provided you know the shortcode. MLS is provided by SportsNet, not ESPN, and if you can figure out the shortcode SportsNet uses for any new team, you can follow that team specifically. Otherwise, if you just follow the league, the new team will appear as it comes through the feed without any intervention on your part. I also changed MLS to pull the team logo images from the data feed, so there won’t be any missing logos either.

Hi Jeff,

My MM Scoreboard shows the times of the coming matches wrong,

They are displayed as to air 1 hour early,
Is this because your API calls from ESPN in America when i am in the UK?

could you help with getting this changed to local time,

The clock on my MM is correct and i would assume the date and times are pulled from the same part

Noctis: that looks like a daylight savings issue. We’re still in DST until 2nd Sun of November, I don’t know your status.

@Noctis25 One thing you could double check as you’re in England. Are you using the right clock locale (Europe/London versus GMT)? Is your clock observing DST correctly?

Daylight savings is a horrible thing, as is timezones.

I have tried your module and I believe that all the most popular football rankings do not work.

I tried with:

ITA_SERIES_A
ESP_LALIGA
GER_BUNDESLIGA

but nothing is shown.

For example NHL League works …

Working great with today’s games for NHL, Eng Premier & League 1; however when I set a value for rolloverHours this switches to only showing the previous days scores and doesn’t display anything for today? Assuming my formatting is correct? Just:
rolloverHours: 12,

Updated my mirror and now the module is stuck with the message “Loading…”

I’ve updated the module since a new version came out but I still have the same problem.

I’ve also tried deleting the MMM-MyScoreboard directory and did a new pull and install but still no success.

In the console I get a MESA-LOADER: failed to retrieve device information. My GoogleFu failed to produce success.

i am liking this module however when inspecting it, there is a parameter mismatch in module.show: callback is not an optional parameter! showing line 392 on module.js. is this something with this module or something with the new update of MagicMirror?

MM2.24 changed some codes then showing somewhat annoying “error” message. Not related with real “error”, just ignore it.

Hi everyone and thanks fore the MMM-MyScoreboard module who is running just fine. I’m wondering why one team disapear of the scoreboard ? During the day i can see teams i setup to be listed and the hour the game is but when its time for the game to be played then one team (MTL as for Montreal Canadiens in NHL) disapear from the scoreboard with the team the play against, that game ain’t show live stats but every other teams i can follow on screen.

Is there a place to look at if that team isnt’ write correctly for the live score? Or is it something else that i miss like in the setting?

@j-e-f-f how do you reduce the font size of the content? i maanged to reduce them in css but then when the next game appear, the entire thing is back to default.

these are the 2 css i made but it seems like it doesnt port over to another game…

. means class

if there are multiple . in a string with no spaces it means
all these classes MUST be specified on the element explicitly

so you have some weak ands (with spaces)
.MMM-MyScoreboard (weak and) .box-score.stackedWithLogos.home-team-first (weak and) .score.visitor

and some ABSOLUTE ands
.box-score(ABSOLUTE and).stackedWithLogos(ABSOLUTE and).home-team-first
all these classes MUST be on the same element
class=“box-score stackedWithLogos home-team-first”
and
.score(ABSOLUTE and).visitor
class=“score visitor”

because your second part of the selector clause has no spaces,
ALL THREE classes MUST appear in the class= of the element (absolute AND)

so the element with ‘some text’ will NOT be selectable
but element WITH all three, hit the jackpot, WILL BE selectable
(selectable depending on the next 2 classes, which I didn’t show)

I haven’t dove into the code but do you know if the W-L record of the teams could easily be displayed?
